Summer Collins is a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter blending the heart of country music with the swagger of classic rock and the shine of vintage pop. Originally from North Carolina, Collins grew up performing in a country family band, cutting her teeth on the songs and stories that would eventually shape her own sound.
With more than a decade of experience performing in bars, clubs, and live music venues, Collins has built a reputation as a dynamic live performer, bringing an old-school sense of showmanship to everything she does. Along the way, she’s opened for national touring acts and taken her performance career from stages across the country to Off-Broadway, where she starred in the hit 44: The Obama Musical.
Now, Collins is carving out a sound distinctly her own: a vintage-meets-modern blend of country, rock, and pop inspired by the storytelling of Dolly Parton, the attitude and soul of Amy Winehouse, and the larger-than-life sounds of the ’60s and ’70s.
Her first releases, “American Dreams” and “Make a Move,” introduce two sides of that world. “American Dreams” taps into her love of country noir storytelling, weaving cinematic imagery and darker Americana into a story of restless dreams and escape, while “Make a Move” brings a more passionate, dance-floor-ready energy — pairing country storytelling with the irresistible pull of vintage pop and rock & roll. With more original music on the way, Collins is building a catalog that feels nostalgic without living in the past — rooted in where she came from, but made for where she’s headed.
Whether fronting a band, commanding a crowded bar, or telling her own stories through original music, Summer Collins brings a little Southern charm, a little rock & roll, and plenty of personality to the stage.
